Female Intimate Surgery in Mexico City

In many cases the reason for consultation is not aesthetic: it is chafing, discomfort during exercise or pain during intercourse.

What it is and how it works

three procedures that address the appearance and discomfort of the external genital area. Labiaplasty reduces the labia minora when they are prominent or asymmetric. Monsplasty reduces the volume of the mons pubis, which is what bulges under clothing. And fat transfer restores, with your own fat, the volume the labia majora lose with age or after weight loss.

What it treats, in detail

How we do it here

first, and this matters: there is no such thing as normal anatomy here. Variability in this area is enormous, and your labia can be longer or asymmetric entirely naturally. If you arrive believing yours is abnormal, the first thing we will do is explain that it most likely is not, and from there you decide. Second, when there are functional symptoms alongside the aesthetic ones, such as pain during intercourse, laxity, incontinence or menopausal symptoms, we assess the case together with the gynecologist, so the result is functional as well as aesthetic and not just one of the two. And in labiaplasty there is a decision you make: trim resection removes the pigmented border and leaves a linear contour, while wedge resection preserves that natural border. Neither is better, it depends on your anatomy and your preference.

Who it’s for

if you have physical discomfort, if it limits exercise or certain clothing, or if it bothers you aesthetically and it is your own informed decision.

Who it’s not for

we do not operate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection, or with undiagnosed skin conditions of the area. And we do not operate on anyone who comes under pressure from a partner or a third party: this is your decision.

What to expect

  1. 01

consultation in a private, fully confidential space.

  2. 02

Labiaplasty is done under local anesthesia in-office or with sedation, depending on your preference, and takes an hour and a half.

  3. 03

Monsplasty is done under general anesthesia, is outpatient and takes 2 hours.

  4. 04

Swelling in the first days is significant and often surprising, it is expected, and it is normal for one side to look more swollen than the other.

  5. 05

We will ask you to use ice every one to two hours for the first 48 hours, wear loose clothing, and keep your pelvis elevated for the first days.

  6. 06

    Short walks from day one.

  7. 07

You can shower at 48 hours, but no baths or pools until 3 weeks.

  8. 08

Desk work within a few days and light exercise at one week.

  9. 09

And the rule that is not negotiable: nothing inserted for 6 weeks, no tampons, no cup, no intercourse.

  10. 10

Also no hair removal in the area for the first 2 weeks, so it is worth waxing 3 or 4 days before surgery.

  11. 11

The final result appears between 3 and 6 months, so we ask for patience before judging it.

Risks and what we tell you honestly

the area has constant moisture and movement, so partial opening of the suture line is relatively frequent, which is why the postoperative restrictions are non-negotiable. There can be residual asymmetry, a sensitive scar and changes in sensation. And the hardest error to correct is removing too much, because it can cause pain during intercourse. That is why we are conservative: we would rather fall short than overdo it.

Beyond aesthetics

it is among the procedures with the greatest functional impact in our entire catalog, and that is worth saying. Chafing and pain when walking, running or cycling disappear. You can wear athletic clothing or swimwear without discomfort. Hygiene improves. And when pain during intercourse had that cause, it resolves. To that adds something we see often: many patients go years without consulting out of embarrassment, believing their anatomy is abnormal.

Myth vs reality

Myth

“My anatomy is not normal.”

Reality

it almost always is. Variability in this area is enormous and there is no standard. This surgery is indicated for physical discomfort or as your own informed decision, never by comparison with images or with something someone said to you.
