Aveli in Mexico City, Cellulite Dimple Treatment
It is the only one that locates, cuts and verifies in the moment the septum causing each dimple, with results maintained at one year.
What it is and how it works
cellulite dimples are not fat, they are fibrous bands called septa that pull the skin inward, like the buttons on a mattress. Avéli is a device introduced beneath your skin through a very small entry point, with a light that guides us. With it we locate exactly the septum causing each dimple, cut it in a targeted way, and verify right there that the dimple was released. That last part is what makes it different: we do not work blindly from the surface, we confirm the release in the moment.
What it treats, in detail
- Cellulite dimples on buttocks and thighs.
- It is also used to release fibrosis and retractions, even in the context of liposculpture.
Who it’s for
adult women with well-defined cellulite dimples, who have already tried surface treatments and want something more definitive, and who accept that it is a procedure and not a device session.
Who it’s not for
it is not for diffuse orange-peel skin or for laxity, only for the marked dimple. Also not if you have coagulation disorders or take anticoagulants, infection in the area, or are pregnant. And an important point: it has not been evaluated in combination with other procedures in the same area and session, so we plan it separately.
What to expect
- 01
it is an outpatient procedure, in a single session, under local anesthesia.
- 02
First we mark your dimples standing up, because standing is how they show.
- 03
After the procedure you will have bruising, swelling and tenderness, which usually resolve over the course of a month, with a compression garment.
- 04
The result becomes apparent as swelling subsides, and it is documented to be maintained at one year.
Risks and what we tell you honestly
besides bruising and swelling, there are effects you should know: numbness, reported in about 18% of cases, and less frequently fluid accumulation (seroma) that may require drainage, hematoma, or firm areas that can persist. It is single-use, so the cost is per procedure. And we tell you plainly: although its results hold at one year, it is cleared as a temporary reduction of the appearance of cellulite, because new septa can form over time.
Myth vs reality
Myth
“Cellulite goes away with creams or massages.”
Reality
no cream reaches the fibrous septum causing the dimple, and massages and energy devices improve the appearance temporarily. If your problem is marked dimples, the only approach that acts directly on their cause is cutting that septum. That is why Avéli is different, and also why it is a procedure and not a spa session.
