What it is and how it works
we apply deoxycholic acid, a molecule that breaks the membrane of the fat cells under the chin and destroys them. Once eliminated, those cells no longer accumulate fat in that area. That is why the result is permanent in the treated fat.

Who it’s not for
if your double chin is more laxity than fat, or you have marked neck bands, this is not your treatment and we tell you directly. Also not in pregnancy, with swallowing problems, or with anticoagulants without assessment. First we rule out other causes of a double chin, such as thyroid or lymph nodes.
What to expect

After each session there is significant swelling that can last from days to a couple of weeks, plus bruising and temporary numbness.

Risks and what we tell you honestly
the swelling and discomfort are real, so much so that many patients do not return for more sessions, and we tell you this before, not after. There is a risk, around 4%, of temporarily affecting the smile nerve, causing an asymmetry that resolves on its own. And something key: it does not tighten skin. So, depending on your case, sometimes submental cryolipolysis or, if there is a lot of fat, a chin liposuction, suits you better, and we tell you clearly.
