LED Light Therapy in Mexico City

In a trial with 137 women, red light reduced the volume of wrinkles around the eyes by 30%, painlessly and with no downtime.

What it is and how it works

LED therapy uses light of specific colors that your cells absorb and convert into biological signals, something called photobiomodulation. It does not heat or damage the skin. Each color does something different: blue light acts on acne bacteria; yellow helps with redness and rosacea; red penetrates to the dermis and prompts fibroblasts to produce collagen; and infrared reaches deeper to support tissue repair.

What it treats, in detail

Who it’s for

practically everyone. It is one of the safest treatments that exist, works on all skin tones, and is ideal to add to a facial or to speed recovery from another treatment.

Who it’s not for

we do not use it if you take photosensitizing medications, if you have certain photosensitivity skin conditions, or with an active lesion or infection. With photosensitive epilepsy we proceed cautiously.

What to expect

  1. 01

it is a completely comfortable session, painless, without heat and with no downtime; you will only wear protective goggles.

  2. 02

It is done in a series, usually once or twice a week for acne or rejuvenation, then maintenance.

Risks and what we tell you honestly

it is virtually risk-free. And honestly: it is a supporting treatment, not one with dramatic results on its own. Its best role is to enhance other treatments and speed recovery. Also, device quality and dose matter a great deal; not all light panels are the same.

Myth vs reality

Myth

“The LED masks sold online do the same as the clinic ones.”

Reality

the difference lies in the power and the energy dose actually delivered. Many home devices emit too little to achieve a biological effect. Medical-grade devices deliver the necessary energy, at the correct wavelengths and with a protocol.
