Ultherapy Non-Surgical Lift in Mexico City
In treated skin biopsies, deep-layer collagen rose by about 24%, and it is the only ultrasound that lets us see, in real time, the layer we are treating.
What it is and how it works
Ultherapy uses microfocused ultrasound to deposit heat at very small, deep points in the skin, right in the layer where a surgeon works during a facelift (the SMAS). That heat does two things: it contracts the tissue immediately and, above all, it triggers new collagen and elastin over the following months. What makes it unique is that we work with a screen that shows us that layer in real time, so we place the energy with precision and without damaging the skin’s surface.
What it treats, in detail
- Lifting the brow and opening the eyes.
- Tightening the neck and under-chin.
- Defining the jawline and lifting sagging cheeks.
- Improving décolleté lines.
- And since its update, also mild laxity of the arms and abdomen.
Who it’s for
people with mild to moderate laxity who want natural, progressive tightening without surgery. It works on all skin tones. It is always performed by a specialist physician, because the device visualizes tissue layers in real time and the energy placement must be decided. And this is not a pricing detail: the literature links the significant complications of this technology, such as fat atrophy, nerve irritation and hyperpigmentation, to incorrect device settings, insufficient operator experience and inadequate patient assessment. There is even a published case of a patient who ended up with hollowed cheeks and increased laxity from excessive, uncontrolled energy delivery into the fat layers. Seeing where the energy is deposited is precisely what prevents that. That is the difference from Liftera, which also tightens with ultrasound but is performed by trained nursing staff under protocol and is more accessible in price. In your consultation we tell you which suits your case.
Who it’s not for
if your laxity is already advanced, we tell you honestly, ultrasound will not give you the result you want and the right path is surgery. It is also not ideal with significant excess weight, in pregnancy, or with infection or a lesion in the area.
What to expect
- 01
usually a single session, and the pooled data are good: in a systematic review with 337 patients evaluated, 92% showed improvement in skin tightening or wrinkle reduction at 90 days, and that effect was sustained up to one year.
- 02
There is something we particularly like about this technology: the result keeps building over time.
- 03
In patient-reported scores, improvement rose from 42% at 90 days to 53% at one year.
- 04
The result is not immediate: it builds over 3 to 6 months as collagen forms, and lasts about a year or more, with maintenance roughly once a year.
- 05
During the session there is moderate discomfort, it is tolerable.
- 06
No downtime, though you may have redness, some swelling or tenderness for a few days.
- 07
The price depends on the areas and the number of lines we apply; we give you the exact quote in your consultation.
Risks and what we tell you honestly
it is important to know that it is not a facelift. The tightening is real but subtle, and its territory is mild to moderate laxity; on very lax skin it disappoints. Effects are usually mild: redness, swelling or tingling that can last a couple of weeks. We prefer you arrive with clear expectations, which is why we explain it this directly. At Aryx, Ultherapy is always performed by a physician who knows facial anatomy: the energy is placed in deep layers, near nerves and vessels, and the real-time visualization requires medical judgment to be precise and safe. Beware of prices that are too low, because they are often not the original Ulthera device but a generic HIFU without visualization. At Aryx we have several technologies that overlap and are complementary; in your consultation we define which suits you best or whether combining them is better.
Myth vs reality
Myth
“Ultherapy is a non-surgical facelift that makes you look freshly operated.”
Reality
no. It is natural, gradual tightening, it does not replace a facelift. If your case needs surgery to achieve what you want, we tell you directly in the consultation and we do not sell you something that will not deliver.
