Botox in Mexico City
It is the treatment we perform most, and for good reason: in clinical studies, nearly 9 in 10 patients saw their frown lines improve.

What it is and how it works
botulinum toxin, Botox, is a purified protein that temporarily reduces the signal between nerve and muscle. The muscle relaxes and, no longer folding, the skin above it looks smooth. It is important to understand that it does not fill or change your facial volume; it only relaxes the muscle that marks the wrinkle when you move. The effect is reversible: within a few months the muscle fully recovers its function.
What it treats, in detail
Expression lines
Frown lines, forehead and crow’s feet, plus bunny lines and gummy smile. This is the most common use and where the evidence is strongest.
Bruxism and jaw contour
When you clench or grind, the masseter is overworked, enlarges, and can cause pain, dental wear and a squarer face. Placing toxin in that muscle lowers its strength: nighttime clenching and pain decrease, and over time the masseter slims, refining the facial oval. It is indicated if you grind or clench (especially at night or under stress), if you wake with jaw or headache pain, or if you want to soften a very prominent jaw.
Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
Sweat glands receive their command through acetylcholine, the same messenger the toxin blocks. Applied into the skin of the underarms, palms or soles, those glands stop receiving the signal and sweating drops markedly for months. It is indicated if you sweat excessively even without heat or stress, if it stains your clothing or limits you socially or at work, and when medical antiperspirants are no longer enough.
Other medical uses
Chronic migraine and certain cases of temporomandibular joint disorder.
Who it’s for
adults with movement wrinkles, the ones that appear when you express; patients with bruxism or a prominent jaw; and those with excessive sweating of the underarms, hands or feet. Properly dosed, the result is natural and even works preventively.
Who it’s not for
we do not treat pregnancy or breastfeeding, neuromuscular disease such as myasthenia gravis or Eaton-Lambert syndrome, active infection in the area, or toxin allergy. And we will tell you directly: if your wrinkles are already set with your face at rest, toxin alone will not erase them; there we combine it with filler, biostimulator or laser.
What to expect
- 01
the application takes a few minutes, with a very fine needle and no anesthesia.
- 02
It begins in 2 to 4 days and peaks at 2 weeks, when we review you and touch up if needed.
- 03
It lasts 3 to 5 months on average.
- 04
No downtime, you return to your day immediately.
- 05
With regular sessions the muscle retrains and the effect can be spaced out.
Risks and what we tell you honestly
the usual effects are mild and brief, a small bruise, brief tenderness or a headache. Uncommon, and almost always from technique or diffusion, is a temporary droop of an eyelid or brow, which resolves on its own. It is temporary and must be repeated, and over the years some patients develop some resistance. Dose and technique are decisive: overdosing freezes the expression, which is not our goal, so we prefer to start conservatively and adjust with you. Always with genuine, sealed product.
Myth vs reality
Myth
“Botox freezes your face and it stays that way.”
Reality
a frozen face is a sign of too much product or poor technique, not of the treatment itself. Properly dosed, you keep moving and expressing; the goal is to soften, not erase. And nothing is permanent: the effect wears off in a few months.
