Collagen Biostimulators in Mexico City

These are among our favorite treatments for a natural result: they do not fill, they activate your own collagen, and they last 2 years or more.

What it is and how it works

instead of merely taking up space like a filler, these injectables give your skin the signal to build new collagen and elastin. We use two main ones, and they work differently. Poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra) acts as a stimulus: its microparticles prompt your fibroblasts to produce collagen gradually over months; it gives almost no immediate volume, the result builds. Calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse) does both: it gives immediate volume correction and, as it resorbs, stimulates collagen; in studies, at 6 months the microspheres are still surrounded by new collagen. Both reactivate type I and III collagen and elastin, the structure that gives skin firmness and elasticity.

What it treats, in detail

Who it’s for

anyone seeking natural, lasting rejuvenation without a “filled” look, who understands the result is progressive. Excellent to restore overall facial support or improve body skin quality.

Who it’s not for

it is not suitable with active infection or lesion, keloid or granuloma tendency, active autoimmune disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding. And if you want an immediate change to one specific feature, such as the lips, HA filler is a better first step.

What to expect

  1. 01

usually 1 to 3 sessions 4 to 6 weeks apart.

  2. 02

With Sculptra the result builds over months and lasts 2 years or more, and we will ask you to massage at home the first days.

  3. 03

With Radiesse you see some immediate effect and it lasts 12 to 18 months.

  4. 04

Some bruising and swelling for a few days is normal.

Risks and what we tell you honestly

the main ones are bruising, swelling and, especially with Sculptra if it is not reconstituted or placed well, small nodules forming. A key point: unlike hyaluronic acid, biostimulators do not dissolve with hyaluronidase, meaning there is no “undo”, so technique and patient selection matter even more, and that is why who applies it matters. As with any injectable, there is a rare risk of vascular occlusion. They do not replace a facelift if laxity is advanced; in that case we tell you clearly and consider surgery. Performed by physicians.

Myth vs reality

Myth

“It is just another filler, or it does nothing.”

Reality

neither. It is not a filler: it does not add artificial volume, it stimulates your own collagen, which is why the change is gradual and looks so natural. It is not that it “does not work”, it works over weeks and months, not instantly. If you expect an immediate change, you are looking for a different treatment.
